So I went to my app yesterday. I'm officially a lab rat. Today I was supposed to take my first pill. I would love to have a post-a-thon about how I've in the hours since, but because I'm SO awesome, I've already forgotten to take it. I'm off to a booming start.

p.s. Yes I did notice that the date on the medication is expired.

Update: While I would have liked to have thought I was more cultured, its been brought to my attention that the date is in the European format. Gee who woulda thunk that us Americans don't know everything. Crazy.

"the date on the medication is expired" ????

I can see why you might think that, but actually you have 5 more month before it does expire (4 months and 21 days to be exact).

Now that i how we silly Europeans write down dates. In this case the French and Germans. But us silly Dutchies do that too! Our system looks like: dd-mm-yyyy (or dd.mm.yyyy which is how the Germans do).

Yeah, and we don't use miles or inches either. And when it's 21 degrees, it's nice weather, it doesn't have to be 75.

Really confusing, I know. I am constantly using calculators, tables and charts to tell my girlfriend something (she in California and I'm in Holland - how's that for a long distance relationship).

So you're cool! (On the pills and as a person :-) )

Thanks smart ass. I should've caught onto the Euro date, after living in europe for a while, but I always use periods when writing my dates here so it just looked normal to me!

So is this one of the new oral MS medications they're testing out? That is so COOL! I'd love to be able to ditch the needles--8 years is enough!

That's funny. I get my study drug in a 90-day supply...well, three bottles of 35 capsules per. Anyhow, I got my first 'shipment' on March 16th, and the expiration date was April 8th. It weirded me out at first, then I remembered all the expired meds I have in a basket underneath the bathroom sink, and I'll still take one of them if I need to, so...

My new box o'drugs I got on Tuesday doesn't expire for two years (and I hope I don't either).
